Piute County School District Job Announcement:

Circleville Elementary School ~ Beginning 2021-2022 School Year

Applicants for this position should first have a positive attitude and find joy in working with small children. Applicants will be expected to either have 48 college semester credits, have an associate’s degree, or pass the paraprofessional praxis exam. Experience in teaching or tutoring is preferred. All potential employees must pass a background check.

Job Description and Function:

The successful applicant will be expected to coordinate student needs with teachers and other paraprofessionals, assist in delivering instruction in a one-on-one or small group setting, organize materials to support learning and the instructional process, complete other duties as assigned by the principal, and any other job duties listed in district policy #1139.


This position is paid at an hourly rate determined by Lane 2 and Level 4 of the school district salary schedule. This rate is expected to be $13.48/hour for the 2021-2022 school year. This position is expected to work an estimated 29 hours each week. Weekly hours may be modified by the principal. This position is funded with federal ESSER II and Federal ESSER III funds and is not expected to continue beyond the 2022-2023 school year unless attached to another funding source. If this position continues beyond the 2022-2023 school year it will qualify for leave and retirement benefits after the completion of three successful school years.
