Qualifications:
Applicants for this position should first have a positive attitude and find joy in working with elementary children. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and an elementary teaching license or be willing to obtain an elementary teaching license. It is preferred that applicants have the technology endorsement. All employees must pass an educator background check.
Job Description and Function:
This position will teach all elementary grade levels core subjects with an integrated computer science curriculum. This position would work with each elementary class in the district for short periods each week. This position is expected to work 8 hours each week. The successful applicant will be expected first to be a quality role model for young people. The successful applicant will be responsible for all of the regular teaching duties outlined in district policy #1138. The successful applicant will also complete other job duties as assigned by their supervisor.
Compensation:
This position is paid an hourly rate based on education and years of experience according to the school district salary schedule. A teacher with the appropriate degree and no teaching experience would start at $36.36/hour. This position does not include benefits.
