Qualifications:
Applicants for this position should first have a positive attitude and find joy in working with small children. Applicants will be expected to either have 48 college semester credits, have an associate’s degree, or pass the paraprofessional praxis exam. Experience doing secretarial duties or working in education is preferred. All potential employees must pass a background check.
Job Description and Function:
The successful applicant will be expected to coordinate record keeping for all aspects of the school, communicate effectively, complete school reports, organize school activities, input data, and complete all other duties assigned by the principal. General school secretarial job duties are listed in district policy #1146. This position will frequently be working directly with students and may include some paraprofessional duties such as those found in district policy #1139.
Compensation:
This position is paid at an hourly rate determined by Lane 2 and Level 8 of the school district salary schedule. This rate is $19.42/hour for the 2024-2025 school year. Prior experience may also be considered in the starting rate. This position is expected to work an estimated 28 hours each week. Weekly hours may be modified by the principal. This position is eligible for retirement and leave benefits after the third year of employment.
