Oscarson Elementary School ~ 2021-2022 School Year

 

Qualifications:

Applicants for this position should first have a positive attitude and find joy in working with small children. Applicants will be expected to either have 48 college semester credits, have an associate‚Äôs degree, or pass the paraprofessional praxis exam. Experience in teaching or tutoring is preferred. All potential employees must pass a background check. 

Job Description and Function:

The successful applicant will be expected to coordinate student needs with teachers and other paraprofessionals, assist in delivering instruction in a one-on-one or small group setting, organize materials to support learning and the instructional process, complete other duties as assigned by the principal, and any other job duties listed in district policy #1139.

 

Compensation:

This position is paid at an hourly rate determined by Lane 2 and Level 4 of the school district salary schedule. This rate is $12.91/hour for the 2020-2021 school year. This position is expected to work an estimated 29 hours each week. Weekly hours may be modified by the principal. This position is funded by the Oscarson Elementary School Community Council and funding for the position may change after the 2021-2022 school year.
