2089 - Suicide Prevention

Piute County School District will implement evidence-based practices and programs, or emerging best practices and programs on suicide prevention. All teachers and administrator will be trained in these evidence-based practices and programs, or emerging best practices and programs. As part of this training teachers and administrator will be instructed on identifying students that are at-risk of attempting suicide, physical self-harming behaviors, or thoughts of harming others for the purpose of referring the student to appropriate prevention services and informing the student’s parent or legal guardian.
