Qualifications:
Applicants for this position should first have a positive attitude and find joy in working with adolescents. Applicants will be expected to either have 48 college semester credits, have an associate’s degree, or pass the paraprofessional praxis exam. Experience in teaching or tutoring is preferred. All potential employees must pass a background check.
Job Description and Function:
The successful applicant will be expected to coordinate student needs with teachers and other paraprofessionals, assist in delivering instruction in a one-on-one or small group setting, organize materials to support learning and the instructional process, complete other duties as assigned by the principal, and any other job duties listed in district policy #1139.
Compensation:
This position is paid at an hourly rate determined by Lane 2 and Level 4 of the school district salary schedule. This rate is $16.89/hour for the 2023-2024 school year. This position is expected to work up to 28 hours each week. Weekly hours will be set and modified by the principal. This position will qualify for leave and retirement benefits after the completion of three successful school years.
